Ode to technology over game dynamics Rage may not have set the
world alight at launch, but it’s definitely powered by an impressive engine.
And now that Rage Toolkit is available on Steam Workshop, enthusiasts are
finally able to harness that engine for their nefarious (and no doubt amazing)
ends.
The 35 GB download is not geared toward the timid or the first
time modder. “The toolkit release is not something that we consider consumer
friendly,” John Carmack warns, “but it does let you get a look
inside the construction process.” The documentation for the toolkit also turns
back all but the “technically sophisticated and adventurous.” Grab it on Steam
while stocks last.
