A
new style of smartwatch has started its journey over on the Indiegogo crowd
funding website today, called the Smartfitty, which has been designed to
provide users with a touchscreen watch interface that will link with both
Android and iOS devices.
Smartfitty
has been designed to provides users with notifications of incoming calls,
email, and text messages, as well as iMessages, calendar reminders, together
with Twitter and Facebook updates. Watch

The Smartfitty watch development team explain: “Wouldn’t
it be phenomenal if your smartwatch also doubled as an activity monitor?
You could track your movements throughout the day and follow your sleep
cycle at night. That watch would tell you what little steps you need to
make to live healthier and sleep better.”
The
design seems to be in the very early stages of development and is more of
a concept on paper than a working prototype at the moment.
But is now looking to raise $100,000 to make the jump from paper to production.
