
KDDI Japan have announce a new Android tablet, the AQUOS Pad SHT21 which comes with a 7 inch IGZO display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, and this new IGZO display from Sharp is supposed to provide two and a half times the battery life of similar tablets.
The KDDI AQUOS Pad SHT21 tablet is powered by a dual core 1.5GHz Qualcomm MSM8960 processor, and the device also comes with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of built in storage and it will come with Android 4.0 ICS.
Other specifications include support for microSDXC, 4G, Bluetooth 4.0, a/b/gn/ 2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi and a built in 1-Seg TV tuner, there is also an 8 megapixel camera for photos and video and a front facing VGA camera for video chat.
The KDDI AQUOS Pad SHT21 will go on sale in Japan in December, there are no details on pricing as yet.
