How many of you prefer to use Google’s Chrome browser instead of the alternatives? Chances are that most of you do. At least, according to StatCounter, the web traffic analysis tool. They did some research in finding out who’s currently leading the browser
market.
In May they said that Google Chrome overtook Microsoft’s Internet Explorer in the most used browser category. Their latest results from the period of July 2011 to July 2012 show that this hasn’t changed much. Chrome is still leading with a 33.81 score. That’s more than one third of the worldwide browser market. Internet Explorer is second with 32.04, Firefox next at 23.73, Safari with 7.12, and Opera with 1.72.

In July of last year, Internet Explorer was in the lead with a 42.45 score. Chrome and Firefox followed with 22.14 and 27.95 respectively. The analysis also shows Safari declining from a 5.17 score last year and Opera slightly improving with a 1.72 score.
