EA’s CEO thinks next-gen consoles from Sony and Microsoft will be unveiled in 2013

We love our current generation consoles, but we are always looking ahead too. We can’t wait for the new ones. And we know they are just around the corner. 

But when? Rumors about the PlayStation 4 have been few, but we’ve geard a lot of speculation about Microsoft’s next-gen Xbox console, which some believe will be called the Xbox 720 codenamed “Durango”.

There’s nothing official either way. However, with the Wii U launching soon, Sony and Microsoft should not be too far behind. That’s what EA’s CEO, John Riccitiello thinks too.
He believes that we could see the next-gen consoles from Sony and Microsoft as soon as 2013. 

Even though Sony says their next-gen console, codenamed Orbis, will not be hitting the shelves until 2014 at the earliest. Maybe he’s just blowing hot air, or maybe he knows something, but we hope he is right.
